The development of LNG mobility in Germany is not possible without a network of refueling stations that covers the entire territory. For this reason, the German federal government strongly supports the expansion of LNG filling stations on federal highways.

More and more transport companies and freight forwarders are switching to LNG, because the fuel is gaining more and more of the German market. LNG is a cheap, low-emissions substitute for diesel, which is why it is so popular. Liquefied natural gas is now used not only in trucks, but also in buses and shipping.

LNG makes climate-friendly freight transport possible, but all the prerequisites must be in place for this to happen. An extensive network of LNG filling stations is the basis for environmentally friendly transport throughout Germany.

More than 100 LNG filling stations are already in use by freight forwarders, transport companies and logistics service providers in Germany and a total of 200 filling stations are expected to offer LNG in Germany by 2025.

In the coming years the transport of goods must be much more respectful with the climate in accordance with the indications of the European Union and the Paris Protocol. For this reason, the use of LNG trucks for the transport of heavy goods by road and over long distances is very important since LNG is currently the only alternative available on the market to conventional diesel. And furthermore, by blending or completely replacing it with Bio LNG, the climate advantages in freight transport can be further increased.
