The price of LPG in Germany, also called Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), reduces the cost of vehicle use by a large percentage. Autogas is currently the cheapest alternative to conventional fuels in Germany. And the generally lower CO2 levels also offset the carbon footprint.

But not only in terms of price: LPG is the fuel sold in Germany with the lowest average price fluctuations over the last ten years. This is shown by a comparison of the annual average prices for petrol, diesel and LPG from 2005 to today. The price of LPG remains consistently low and is about half the price of premium petrol and diesel, which fluctuate much more than LPG.

When liquefied petroleum gas is used as a fuel for cars, it is called autogas. With this alternative in the tank, drivers are more environmentally friendly and cheaper on the road than with conventional fuels. According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority, there are currently around 350,000 LPG vehicles on German roads. For many, LPG is still a convincing alternative, and there are many good reasons for this.
