JAC T40 Ethanol E85 Flexifuel
Think of a good car! And be surprised to see that it does not belong to any European brand but to the Chinese JAC Motors. After six years of work, since its conception, the JAC T40 debuts in the market with exciting looks and very competitive prices. The T40 is a compact SUV that will compete with the Honda CR-V and some adventure cars, such as the Hyundai HB20X and Renault Sandero Stepway, as well as crossovers themselves, such as the Peugeot 2008.
The car starts selling in the Pack 3 configuration, which costs R$58,990. This is a very attractive value, considering that the T40 already comes very well equipped. Highlights of the T40 Pack 3 are the 8" multimedia screen and a new front camera with the JAC View app. In addition, the car features autopilot, two isofixes, traction/stability control, ramp start assist, reversing camera, 16-rim alloy wheels and leather upholstery.
"The JAC T40 was designed entirely for the driver," said Sergio Habib, president of JAC Motors do Brasil. "Everything was designed to satisfy the consumer, so we expect it will soon become a sales success.
The new T40 debuts with a five-speed manual transmission and a 1.5 flex 16V engine with variable valve timing. This engine has four cylinders in line and develops 125/127 hp at 6,000 rpm (gasoline/ethanol) and 15.5/15.7 kgfm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The tires are wide, 205 mm, with a profile of 55. The trunk is spacious (450 liters), as well as its interior.
SUV proportions can be deceiving to the eye, so it's worth noting that the new Jac T40 (4.14 meters long x 1.75 meters wide x 1.57 meters tall) is close to those of a Ford EcoSport. By the board, like its rival, the too-compact size leaves the T40 unable to contend with the brightest SUVs on the market, such as the Honda HR-V, Hyundai Crete and Nissan Kicks.
Koenigsegg has equipped the Jesko with an active adaptive rear steering system that increases responsiveness and elevates precision at both high and low speeds. Using data such as individual wheel speed, steering angle, steering wheel angular velocity, engine speed, lateral acceleration, longitudinal acceleration and other parameters, the steering system can turn the rear wheels up to three degrees in either direction to speed up cornering and increase agility and stability.
The JAC T40 sums up what a racing car can be if you want to drive it on normal roads. With all the equipment imaginable and tremendous performance it is, without a doubt, the car that any enthusiast could want to drive. Come on, all you need is the money. Lots of money, brother.
