Honda Clarity Hydrogen

For those drivers who consider hybrid cars to be ineffective and electric cars to be ineffective because of their relatively short range, the hydrogen-powered vehicle using a fuel cell is the perfect choice.
Hydrogen cars run without polluting emissions and it is the technology where the motor industry has the most room to evolve. Honda has always been one of the manufacturers with the greatest interest in working on hydrogen cars, and from these developments the Honda Clarity Fuel Cell was born, presented at the Tokyo Motor Show 2015 as the new reference in this technology. Thus, the Clarity Fuell Cell is the first model with a production sedan bodywork powered by this sustainable technology.
The Japanese brand's engineers have focused on designing a car that, while powered by such a different technology (the fuel cell aided by a small lithium-ion battery), is seen as a conventional and functional car for normal use. Far from futuristic designs more typical of concept cars, the Clarity Fuell Cell is a saloon car that maintains the comforts of models with conventional combustion engines.
The fuel cell and drive shaft system occupy the space that would normally be occupied by the engine and transmission under the bonnet, giving freedom to achieve an interior space that comfortably accommodates five adults.
The interior is practical and spacious and is enhanced by a modern and stylish exterior design with such contemporary details as the Full-LED headlights and 18-inch aluminium wheels. Everything about this model is designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the whole.
In fact, the new Clarity Fuell Cell is equipped with a small power pack but capable of delivering maximum electric motor power of up to 130kw, equivalent to 177 PS. The electric motor also allows for instant acceleration without gear shifting, providing a very smooth drive. To get the most out of the engine, the Clarity Fuel Cell includes the Sport mode, which maximises the responsiveness of the vehicle.
Its high-pressure hydrogen tank is capable of offering a range of more than 700 kilometres, impossible to acquire at present by a battery electric car. With this clear commitment to hydrogen-powered cars, Honda demonstrates that efficiency, performance and speed are not at odds with zero emissions (remember that a hydrogen car only expels water vapour), and also offers a refuelling process in just three minutes.
The Honda Clarity Fuel Cell is already a reality and aspires to be one of the standards among sustainable mobility vehicles.
